COQUINA HARBOUR AT DUSK
The Governor's Lighthouse is located on the Intracoastal Waterway at the entrance to Coquina Harbour in Little River, S.C. It was commissioned in 1984 by Governor Riley. This is my one particular harbour and the sunsets are fantastic. Coquina Harbour at Dusk is my attempt to capture that magic. |

TOUCHED BY THE SUN
Sunset Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast of the U.S. The beauty of the sunsets on this beach inspired me to paint this image. Another inspiration for this painting came from a Carly Simon song that was playing on my stereo as it was coming together. |

GUARDIAN OF THE CAPE
Cape Hatteras is the largest lighthouse in the U.S. As you can see, as I painted this image it was liable to perish and topple into the sea. Currently it is being moved to a less precarious spot on the cape. |

THE YACHT CLUB AT DUSK
Third image in my dusk series, the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club was established in 1906. It is the only yacht club located on an island in the U.S. The grace of its architecture and memories of days spent at this lake in my youth inspired me to paint this scene. |

CHERRY GROVE PIER
This pier has long been a landmark on Cherry Grove Beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. It has witnessed numerous hurricanes and I am fascinated by a structure that has allowed man to be perched above the churning sea in search of the beauty of an occasional fish. |
